Look Younger

As we take a look at nature and the lifestyles of earlier cultures, we do not find the problems of disease, sickness or excess weight that occur in our modern society. This should prompt us to see what these cultures are doing that has proven to work throughout time. For example, I try to live a more natural lifestyle in regards to diet (loads of raw vegetables), activity and exercise, environment, and pure distilled water. I incorporate each of these as much as possible, though not perfectly. Nevertheless, the result is a better quality of life largely free from sickness and disease.

Our SAD (Standard American Diet) of today unfortunately consists of highly processed “foods” that starve the body of nutrition and create difficulties for the digestive system, which results in colon problems. It’s known in the natural health industry that over 90% of all human diseases and sickness are from a congested (constipated) colon. This also accelerates the aging process. Modern science hasn’t and won’t find a break-through drug that will restore your health. But they don’t need to. The solution simply is a more natural lifestyle involving the integration of corrective and preventative measures over time. Let me mention a few here.

One corrective measure is to cleanse and detoxify the body to get rid of some of the causes of disease and sickness. This can be done by:

Drinking adequate amounts of pure distilled water.

Stimulate the digestive track by reflexology massage on the sole of the feet every other day. Reflexology charts are available in health stores or online.

Stimulation of the elimination process. There are several great ways to do this, but the easiest is to simply eat a large green salad (full of fresh, raw, preferably organic vegetables) with each of your meals throughout the day. Consuming 3 – 5 salads per day not only helps you look younger, but it also adds years to your life, gives you energy, and helps you lose excess body weight – fast.

About Perfect Lips

To get it, avoid applying the lip pencil too heavily, which will be difficult to blend and soften into the lipstick. Keeping your mouth closed lightly trace the lip line with the lip pencil so it can barely be seen, but can be used as a guide line.

Hold the brush horizontally to trace along the lip line, and do a little bit at a time, backing up and going over it again. Don’t try to get the whole line in one stroke. The best lip brush is a sable with a slightly tapered edge, not straight one.

This provides more control and a cleaner line.If you are really pressed for time, apply lipstick only on the bottom lip and press your lips together. Then, blend out to the lip line with the edge of a lip brush, not the tip, for a precise line, or use a dampened cotton swab for a soft, natural lip line.

When finished, instead of blotting the lips by biting a tissue, lay the tissue across both lips while your mouth is closed. This will imprint your lips, including the edges of the mouth where lipstick usually bleeds. Perfect!

Hair Care

Have a hair-care routine

Having a fixed period or interval of days in which you wash your hair and oil them helps to keep the hair nourished and healthy. It also prevents them from shedding and other scalp related problems.

Shampoo well

Firstly we must pick up the shampoo that has the right PH balance and is not too acidic in nature as it damages the hair. Also, we can use apple cider vinegar as a pre-shampoo treatment to help add nutrients and have an added shine to hair after they are washed. We should apply the shampoo from the roots to the mid-shaft of the hair. We must strictly avoid silicone, sulphate and alcohol-based shampoo. We must rinse the shampoo with cold water as hot water opens the pores which lead to hair-fall. Never I mean never ever in your whole life brush or tie wet hair this leads to the development of head lease and dandruff. We must not wash our hair regularly and also wrap out with a cotton towel or a t-shirt after we wash them.

Coconut oil

When we need healthy hair coconut oil is our best friend. Coconut not only nourishes the hair by adding nutrients to them but also moisturizes and untangles the hair. It’s not greasy and helps restore the lost nutrients.

Sleep

We must have an adequate 8hrs. Of sleep, at night it helps our body to repair itself and treat the damages that are happening on a day to day basis. Also or having healthy hair we should sleep on silk pillows as they are softer on hair as compared to normal pillow cases when we toss and turn during our sleep and also be must braid our hair while sleeping as it helps to prevent them from getting tangled.

About Fight Aging

Some of the greatest benefits include improved mental and cognitive function, stronger cardiovascular system, increased lean body mass and decreased body fat, improve sexual function, fewer wrinkles, thicker skin and better skin tone. The main components of anti-aging to include in your program are:Optimal nutrition, proper skincare, regular exercise, hormone replacement therapy, and lifestyle behavioral changes such as smoke, stress management, and reduced alcohol consumption.

Exercise is the simplest and least expensive anti-aging tool. You can work with a personal trainer, and better yet, participation in a regular fitness program will provide you needed exercise benefits. Be sure to check with your physician before beginning any rigorous exercise program.

If your body is armed with the ammunition to defend itself, your body will have stronger immunity and reduced disease, and you’ll find yourself seeking medical attention less frequently. Through the synergistic action of all these components, anti-aging scientists have observed a significant change and even reversal of some aging effects. Now it’s your turn to observe these changes in your skin and body. Discuss additional options for addressing changes to your skin with your skincare professional professional.

Jerome Rusell’s Punky Color Punk Off is an easy to use gel that will cleanse your skin from hair dye stains.

Roux Clean Touch is a gentle formula that removes haircolor from skin and scalp. Removes excess color from hair ends and assists in removing stains from clothing.

Home remedies include this one:

Hot Oil treatments, hairspray, shampooing and exposure to water will gradually fade hair dye.

To remove the last bit of residue or stain on the hair (or to get color out immediately) make up a small batch of bleach mixture and add it to 2 tablespoons or so of shampoo in a cup. Stir it up.

Shampoo your hair with this mixture, “kneading” the hair. Start at the roots and work your way down to the end, and then back up.

You should see the color disappear right before your eyes.

Black hair dye is a special case.

It’s very hard to remove black hair dye from your hair completely, especially if it’s permanent. Better to let it grow out and not bleach it. Bleaching with chemicals damages the hair it may make it so stretchy and thin that it comes out in your comb.

Likewise if black hair dye stains skin or fabric. The best way is to prevent it from staining in the first place by applying Vaseline around the hairline before dyeing.

Moisturizer Is Essential

Hydrating your skin is key to making your skin look healthy, plumb and glowy. Dry, dehydrated skin not only feels tight and uncomfortable but it’s also more likely to age and wrinkle. Using a moisturizer regularly can help keep fine lines away, and give the appearance of younger skin.

Many moisturizers go beyond hydrating ingredients. They have other active ingredients to perk tired skin and make it look plumper and younger. For example, an evening moisturizer may contain Vitamin A derivatives to help skin texture and tone. A morning one could include Vitamin C and other antioxidants to perk up skin and fight pollution damage.

A typical moisturizer will also seal any previous treatment cosmetic you have applied to your skin. It acts as the finishing element of your beauty routine, ensuring that the active skincare toners and serums you just applied have time to work.

Most people who say they don’t like moisturizer are actually using one without knowing. Not all moisturizers are creams! A refreshing hydrating gel or a few drops of marula oil after your toner are have the same function as cream moisturizers.

Modern cosmetic brands invest a lot of time and effort researching alternative ways to deliver hydration and protection to skin. There are many natural moisturizers in the market that do away with mineral oils, preservatives and other chemicals that may irritate skin. At the same time, lighter formulations that provide longer lasting hydration keep coming into the market.

Moisturizer and your Makeup Routine

Healthy, hydrated skin is a much better canvas for makeup. In fact, you may find that you need less foundation or concealer if your skin is properly moisturized. The trend for no-makeup makeup starts with glowing, healthy skin and that means using moisturizer and hydrating masks as a base.

If you feel that your moisturizer is making your foundation slip off, you may need to use a primer. Or at least wait five minutes for the moisturizer to be absorbed by your skin before you apply makeup.

There are people who pass on moisturizer because they feel it makes their skin oily, or makes them break out. This is usually due to using a moisturizer that is too rich for your skin type. For example, somebody with oily skin should be using an oil-free, mattifying moisturizer instead.

Consider your main skin concerns and personal preferences before disregarding moisturizing altogether. If you don’t like the feeling of heavy creams, choose a lotion or even a light oil such as squalane oil.

Without moisturizing, your skincare routine will feel incomplete. Moisturizing protects your skin natural barrier that prevents outside elements from harming it. Without a moisturizer, your skin is left to fend for itself against cold, pollution and dry air. This can cause discomfort and premature ageing.

Sugaring Hair Removal

If sugaring hair removal is your choice for getting rid of unwanted body hair, take note of these tips and suggestions for optimum results:

  • To remove the hair by the root it must be at least 1/4 inch or 6 mm long. Longer hair should be trimmed to this length.
  • Hair must be clean and dry before starting hair removal sugaring.
  • Remove all creams and oils, towel dry and then apply talcum powder to ensure the skin is completely dry.
  • Apply the sugaring paste in the direction of the hair growth.
  • When pressing the cotton strip on top of the paste, leave a small section at the end free so it will be easy to hold when pulling back.
  • If using a spatula to apply the paste use the edge not the flat side. This will help ensure a very thin layer is applied.
  • Pull the strip back sharply against the direction of the hair growth. Do not lift the strip up or out away from the skin.
  • Hold the skin firmly with one hand while you pull the strip back sharply with the other hand.
  • Treat small areas at a time when hair removal sugaring on sensitive parts of the body.
  • When heating the paste, either by microwave or oven, be absolutely sure the paste is just warm to the touch not hot. Otherwise burns to the skin may result.
  • If using hot water to warm the paste container, be sure not to allow water into the paste. Sugar paste is water soluble and will be spoiled if the container is not sealed properly and water gets in.

Sugaring hair removal is quite safe as the ingredients in the paste are natural. They can also contain ingredients with healing properties such as citric acid and gum Arabic.

With a little practice sugaring hair removal can be a very effective and economical method for getting rid of unwanted hair on any part of the body.

Curly Hair

Different patterns and different types of curls require different nourishment and maintenance routines. The type of curl helps you decide the shampoo the conditioner and the serum you need to use to have frizz-free and shiny hair.

Less is more

It is important for curly hair that which product we use and by how much. The right amount of product is less than you think. Always look before you apply the shampoo and conditioner to hair as the quantity matters.

Have a hair care routine

Having a routine i.e. fixing the days you wash the hair and the time intervals between oiling them help to have nourished and healthy hair as it ensures that the scalp is clean between short intervals of time.

Pigments

What are the types of pigments that go into the cosmetic industry? Both the inorganic as well as the organic pigments are being used for manufacturing makeup products. The most popularly used inorganic pigments include the iron oxides, chromium oxide, titanium oxide, ultramarines etc. Ultramarines are responsible for making available the metallic hues of blue that are often prevalent in eye makeup. Chromium oxide gives the green hues used in several shades of eye makeup.

Iron oxides are more used in the manufacture of day-time makeup products as it includes pigment yellow, pigment red and other vibrant shades in its fold. Titanium oxide provides the much needed UV shield to some extent and therefore becomes an important ingredient in the manufacture. The solvent resistance and opaqueness of inorganic pigments make them a must include ingredient in the manufacture of makeup products.

Organic pigments on the other hand vary from inorganic pigments from the solubility point of view; they are soluble in a number of solvents. The kind of organic pigments that form the base of raw materials in the cosmetic industry include the likes of Xanthenes, Azo colorants, Triaylmethane and Anthraquinone.

Each of them lend varying grades of shades that are needed to manufacture different skin friendly makeup products. The Azo colorants give the bright yellow and red shades while the base for the soothing blue and green shades come from Triarylmethane. Vibrant orange and red are obtained from Xanthenes which is considered a staining dye. Anthraquinones refer to a group of naturally occurring pigment that gives the much used green colour in the cosmetic industry.

However, the manufacture of makeup products using the various pigments is a very complex one. There are several rules and regulations laid down by FDA with regard to colour additives that are being used in the cosmetic industry. Every makeup product containing colour additive has to meet requirements for approval, certification, identity and specifications, permissible concentrations etc. Colours that need certification are mainly petroleum derived or synthetic-organic colours.

Every batch of the cosmetic using these colour ingredients have to be FDA-certified. Certain colour additives such as those originating from plant, mineral and animal sources do not require batch certification requirements. However, they have to adhere to the specifications, identity, restrictions, uses and labelling requirements as specified under the rules. If the rules and regulations with regard to colour additives are not complied with, then your cosmetic will be declared as adulterated. So it is better to make use of the pigment raw materials in the best and right manner possible so as to deliver the best quality from your cosmetic industry!

Info of Alpha Hydroxy Acids

Whether glycolic, lactic or arginine is used-they are all still acids! AHAs dissolve the natural moisturizing factor that acts as a glue to hold dead cells in the stratum corneum together.

Acids penetrate into the skin if not properly neutralized and a mixture of baking soda and cool water should always be used by your esthetician or dermatologist as a first rinse mixture to stop the process of exfoliation on your skin, because at this point the treatment has reduced the thickness of the stratum corneum and the skin has now become sensitive.

Clients should be informed that when they use such treatments the skin becomes more sensitive to the sun and should protect their skin with a sunscreen of SPF15 or higher. An esthetician or doctor should advise their clients not to experiment themselves with their skin after an alpha hydroxy treatment when going home for at least 3 days. When using such treatments (glycolic or lactic, etc.)in a series, especially for hyperpigmentation, acne scarring and anti-aging programs. If being done in a professional environment the results can be positive.
